1. Do you really own the factory or do you contract out the work?
Unlike other manufacturers, we are the complete owners of the factory. As such, we have full control over the entire manufacturing process, as well as technicians who have developed years of experience in producing automotive aftermarket parts.

2. What kind of minimum orders do you require?
Though we can make any quantity of product for you, it probably will not be worth your while unless you are ordering in the hundreds of pieces per order. The main reason for this is set prices for making the molds for your product as well as minimum shipping fees.

3. How does shipping work?
Ideally, with a container order, we would ship the entire order directly to you from China. At your option, shipping can be set up by you, or arranged by us for a nominal fee. Ocean freight shipping typically takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive in Los Angeles from China. In the case of smaller orders, they would have to wait for an available container going to Los Angeles, and then go through processing at our Los Angeles facility. From Los Angeles, pickup could be arranged by your company or be arranged for delivery / shipping by us.

4. What are your payment terms?
Generally, most orders require a deposit of at least 25% before we begin production. The remaining balance will be due upon delivery of the product. For international transactions, an irrevocable L/C (Bank letter of credit) will be required prior to delivery. All payment should be made in US Dollars ($).

5. How long does it take to get a sample?
Depending on the complexity of the item, as well as the shipping method you want us to use, it should take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Upon initial receipt of a picture or technical drawing, our engineers will estimate the sample completion time, and wait for your authorization before fabrication begins. Providing a physical sample of the desired product will greatly decrease the amount of wait time for a sample.

6. Can you produce my product without a sample or technical drawing?
We have done this successfully several times in the past, but naturally, providing a sample is the cheapest, fastest, and easiest way for you to get the sample made correctly. If the exact product you want does not exist yet, a similar item would also be useful, ideally with the same contours and features, for instance, an exhaust system that you would like to make a similar style of for another car.

7. How does the 50 state legal private labeling program work?
Our CP Products and ZR Header lines have several C.A.R.B. exempted applications that can be private labeled in your own packaging. The California Air Resources Board requires that all the packaging state the original manufacturer (CP & ZR) and retain the original part numbers, but you can put the items in your own box with your own additional part numbers.

8. Can you create new applications and get them 50 state legal certified?
As we are already familiar with the C.A.R.B. exemption and testing process, for a nominal fee, we can attempt to have new items tested and certified for you, though we can not guarantee that all will pass. Also, please be aware that certain vehicles, such as “Ultra Low Emission Vehicles” will not pass under any circumstance.

9. How customizable are your 50 state legal product lines?
If you choose to private label one of our CP Products or ZR Headers, C.A.R.B. requires we keep all the dimensions of the items the same. Cosmetically though, you can personalize the color, finish, or add your logo on to the product. Packaging is also up to your own preferences.

10. How customizable are your other products?
There are a variety of customization options available for most of our products. Color and finish changes, including powder coating are available options. Outside of cosmetics, changes in diameter to piping (to accommodate larger engines or turbo applications), removal or relocation of sensor positions, or changing materials can very easily be accomplished. Additionally, for certain items like mufflers, the lengths, amount of muffling element, and material quality can be customized for optimum durability or price efficiency.

11. Can you put my logo on the products?
Most of our products can accommodate your personalized logo. Ideally, we would require the art in digital format, though our art team can make whatever adjustments necessary. We can then emboss your logo onto a badge and weld it on, or we can have it printed in color for you. We encourage color printing over embossing, as it is actually the easier and more inexpensive method of the two.

12. Can you make my non metal product?
We specialize in metal products, so any product that is predominantly metal (such as camber kits) or with specific metal components, we can most likely produce for you. We are incapable or processing other items made of little or no metal in our own factory. While we can contract out the work to another company, the resulting pricing would probably not be as competitive as our metal product prices.

13. What else can you make?
While metal piping items are the easiest for us, we have ample equipment to produce almost any type of metal product you want. Auto part wise, we can make anything from oil pans, to fenders, to chrome emblems. Outside of auto parts, we are a fully functional factory capable or making everything from electronic cases, to toolboxes, to light switch plates. As long as it’s metal we can make it, though we will be most competitive on products we already make, or products ordered in large enough quantities to cover molding fees.

14. Can you make forged rims?
Forging is probably one of the only metal services we don’t currently offer. Just like with any product though, if the order is large enough, contracting out or acquiring the proper equipment is always a possibility.

15. What types of materials do you work with?
We work with most popular metals, including aluminum, steel, titanium, and other similar materials. We can accommodate most material requests, though generally for auto parts, stainless steel and aluminum have by far been the most popular. Ceramic is also commonly requested, though ceramic is just a coating and not a stand alone material used for auto parts.

16. How can you guarantee that my product won’t be copied?
Unlike other companies, we do all molding, painting, packaging, and most other processing on our own premises. With full control of the entire manufacturing process, we can guarantee complete discretion if you require an exclusive on a product. Also, should there be any disagreements regarding contracts, we are not some impossible to reach overseas corporation, we’re right here in the U.S. with a firm reputation to uphold within the industry.

17. Will you stock my product for me?
No. Unless different arrangements are prepared beforehand, your products are exclusively made to order. For some generic products, we may have some stock in our Los Angeles facility in our own packaging. Though we make no stock guarantees, if we have your packaging available, under special circumstances we may be able to repackage and ship out small orders in between container orders.

18. How do I know if my product will fit?
After you place your order, we will provide you a finalized sample for test fit. If there are any problems with fitment, we will readjust it until the sample fits perfectly. Only after you are completely satisfied with the sample will we begin production.

19. What kind of guarantees do you offer on your product?
We guarantee all of our work against defects in material or workmanship for at least one year. If there are any reasonable returns made after a year, we will probably accept them back as well. Once we take back any defective items, we will issue a return or replacement (depending on the situation) as soon as possible. Our mindset is to take care of any problems, even if it means losing money, to maintain our reputation and keep our customers for the long run.

20. Do you speak my language?
Depending which office you call, we have agents who can assist you in English, Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. We are currently in the decision process about hiring Spanish speaking personnel as well, though we are still investigating the demand for such a service.

21. Can I get a sample of your work?
Depending on the types of products you are interested in, we may have a sample that we can send you for free or at a significantly discounted fee. Please email us with your information and manufacturing requirements for further information.

22. Can I visit your manufacturing facilities?
We gladly offer tours of our manufacturing facilities in Dong Guan to any serious potential customers visiting Guangdong, China, though we request at least a week’s advance notice. Please contact us for more information.
